JOHN S. WHITE, ESQ.
ATTORNEY AT LAW | Of COUNSEL
John S. White was admitted to the New York bar in 1983. His 34 year career has been devoted exclusively to the field of personal injury litigation.
During the first 11 years of his practice, John, like Chris, did defense work on behalf ofinsurance companies. Unlike Chris, however, John spent his early years working with two small "outside counsel" firms, not with the insurance companies directly. Because he was not "in-house", John was frequently asked to research, and prepare written opinions concerning, a wide array of coverage issues faced by the insurance companies his firms did work for. Knowing the reasons why, and how insurance companies will attempt to disclaim coverage and refuse to pay on certain claims, has benefitted John and our clients greatly over the years.
John has tried dozens of cases to verdict over the course of his career. In just his seventh year of practice, John was made a named partner at the firm he was then associated with. Later that same year, John was honored by his peers - a group which included both practicing attorneys and judges he had appeared before - with an AV rating in Martindale Hubbell, the renowned 100 year old independent ratings agency. The "AV Preeminent" rating is Martindale Hubbell's highest, signifying that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest levels of both ability and ethical standards.
During his association with our office over the past 15 years, John has devoted the vast majority of his time to the handling of cases involving workers injured on construction sites. New York's Labor Law, which governs these cases, is both a complex, and constantly evolving field of specialty. John brings years ofexperience, at both the trial and appellate level, to this office in its handling of our clients' construction site injury claims.
